Today We. . .

Today was a busy day after a long weekend!
Today we:

• Created spider webs out of paper plates and silver yarn.  Each student picked a word that represented them and put it in their web.  Ask your child what word he/she picked!
• Had a fire drill!  Everyone did a great job of quickly and quietly exiting the building.
• Practiced our spelling by doing Draw 6 and practiced our "Read-to-Self" time.
• Continued reading, Mercy Watson to the Rescue.
• Read a book after lunch about a little boy going to the book fair at his school.
• Worked on Frames and Arrows in math.
• Started our weather calendar at school to begin our "Air and Weather" science unit.
• Visited the book fair for a quick preview.  There are lots of great books!  The book fair is open Wednesday - Friday this week.
