"How To" Writing

Today we continued to work on our "How To" writing.  I demonstrated by asking them to give me directions on how to make a peanut butter sandwich.  We learned about the importance of giving clear and specific directions.  Ask them what happened when they told me to put the peanut butter on the sandwich!

Next I showed them my "How To" project - making a paper cup.  They followed the steps with me and created their own paper cup!  See if your child can remember the directions to make one at home!

Tomorrow they will start to write the directions for their own "How To" writing.
