Special Projects!

Today we started working on our turkey hats!  The kids will wear them to lunch on Wednesday. We will finish them up tomorrow!

Today we also read a book about how the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade was started.  See if your child can tell you about it!

We made a miniature parade balloon.

Recess

Recess is one of the most popular times of the day! Each day students travel from either zone A, B, or C.  Today they played in zone c.  Everyday we talk about making good choices out on the playground.  Today we celebrated the good things that are going on!  We heard that students are including other students in their play.  Students are letting other students pick the game to play.  Students are cheering each other up.  Students are sharing with each other.  Great job!

Field Trip: City Hall

Getting ready to head out!

Our first stop was Public Works.

We learned about the signs that they make for Roseville and the special reflective material they use.

We saw the maintenance shop where they service all of the Roseville police cars.

We saw where they keep all the big equipment.  We learned that hydraulics play an important role!

Next we visited the new fire station.

We learned that different colored fire helmets mean different things.  Ask your child if they can tell you who wears the yellow helmet, red helmet and white helmet!

Finally we go to go through the big fire truck!

Next we met Mayor Dan Roe! He told us about his job and all the things that the Roseville City Council does to help make Roseville a great place to live.

Finally we visited the police station.

We saw where they have some holding cells.

We also got to see a real police car up close!

It was a great field trip!
