Today we were busy learning lots of things!
In literacy we started a new theme. We talked about cities versus small towns. We read a poem about what life is like in a big city. We looked at the "urn" and "ir" word families.
In math we did a measuring activity. Ask your child what kinds of things they measured today!
We learned more about our government. We talked about the voting process. We also talked about different scenarios and who would be responsible for each one - the mayor, governor or president. Ask your child about what he/she is learning! We are getting excited for our field trip to City Hall next week!
