Read-In & 4th Grade Buddies!

This morning we did our read-in party! It was fun to see all of the special stuffed animals that came to school! Everyone did a great job! This is a class that loves to read and is good at it! :)
 

Then we went down to Mr. Engel's room for some game time with our fourth grade buddies! Ask your child what new games they learned to play!

Station Time

Today we had some time to do some different stations. Students had six different stations to rotate though:

1. Working on more coding.
2. Time to read.
3. Playing games with a partner.
4. Working on writing.
5. Strategy games with a partner.
6. Tangrams. 

They did a great job working and cooperating together!
 

Fun Projects!

This morning we worked on some fun projects! First each student made themselves standing in the snow. Hopefully we will get some more snow sometime this winter! They made a matching hat and mittens! They turned out very cute! They will be up in the hallway later on!
 

Next we made 3D geometric shapes using toothpicks and marshmallows as a review from our last math unit on geometry. The toothpicks and marshmallows helped us count/know how many edges and vertices each shape has! Ask your child what shapes we made!
