Creepy Carrots!

Today we read a great book called, Creepy Carrots! See if your child can tell you about the interesting ending!

Next each student made their own carrot!

The book is about how Jasper is afraid of the creepy carrots and how he chooses to solve his problem/overcome his fear. We wrote about something that we are afraid of or that is challenging to us and how we have or will overcome it!

And the Winners Are. . .

First, today we did research with Ms. Zbacnik in the library. We are researching the Golden Gate Bridge. Everyone did a great job of taking notes! See if your child can tell you some of the interesting facts that we learned!

Today we found out who are new candidates are for our class mascot! The two nominees with the most votes were Piggie and Pigeon. Next week our candidates will be working on their campaign for becoming our class mascot!

Finally ask your child about what they did with Miss Gilbertson in science today!

The Voting Process!

Today was another busy day!

Ask your child what we talked about in literacy! Ask them about the earth and the sun and the "model" I used to demonstrate!

In science today our class went to Mrs. Kath's class. Here are some of the materials she used! Ask your child about what he/she learned!

Yesterday we started talking about the voting and election process. Today I introduced three candidates that would like to be our class mascot. Each candidate had very good reasons for why he/she would do the best job! See if your child can tell you about the qualifications for each one!

Tomorrow we will be holding a "primary election" to narrow the candidates down to two!
