Happy Leap Year!

Reading Party!

Today we had our reading party! It was fun to have stuffed animals and good books to read with! These kids are AWESOME readers! They love good books! They take reading seriously but also have fun doing it. I am so proud of the readers that they are! 

4th Grade Buddy Time!

This morning we got together with our fourth grade buddies! They came down to our room. We read the book, This Is Not My Hat. Great book! The ending is left open ended. Buddies worked together to come with a new/different/alternative way the book could end. They did a great job working together and coming up with some creative ideas!

Throw Back Thursday

Every Thursday we read a "Throw Back Thursday" book. This week we read the beloved book, Caps for Sale. We are also in the middle of reading The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. Ask your child what is happening in the story so far!

Writing Our Weather Reports

Today we started writing our weather reports! We are writing them as if we are meteorologists giving the daily weather report. Students worked with their partner. They used the notes that we took from PebbleGo and the books to help write their report. They also had a checklist of things to make sure that they included. Everyone worked hard and did a great job!
