Learning Today!

Today was a busy day back at school! We did so many different things!

In writing we are starting our next project: "How To." This morning I had the students write out directions on how to go down a slide. After that we went out to try some of them out! We realized that it is very important to be specific with our directions. We will continue to work on this project this week!

Today in literacy we started a new theme. We read a story about Maui and the sun. See if your child can tell you about the story and what "kind" of story it is. (A folktale that explains why something is the way it is.)

This afternoon in math we did a review for the math test tomorrow. Your child is bringing home the review to look over tonight!

In science today we did a lesson on different types of clouds. We talked about cirrus, cumulus and stratus clouds. See if your child can tell you about the characteristics of each type of cloud!
