Today we switched for science! Our class went to Mrs. Kath's room and Mrs. Anderson's room. Mrs. Kath did an awesome experiment with balloon rockets. Mrs. Anderson did a cool experiment with parachutes. Ask your child to tell you about what they learned from each activity, not just what they did. In our classroom we learned and talked about three different types of clouds. See if your child can name all three and some of the characteristics about them!
Cirrus - high, thin, wispy clouds. They usually mean fair or good weather.
Cumulus - puffy, white clouds with a flat bottom. They are lower than cirrus clouds and usually mean fair or good weather.
Stratus - gray cloud. They are usually low to the ground and spread out like a blanket. They often mean that rain or snow is coming.
We'll go to Mr. Nelson and Mrs. Hinderer's classrooms tomorrow!
