Research

This year we will be doing lots of research with Ms. Zbacnik in the library.  Today we did research on Christopher Columbus.  One of the tools that we used was Bookflix.  Look in your child's folder today for directions on how to access Bookflix at home!  We also talked about the importance of using more than one source to find information.  We know that if at least 2 or more sources of information say the same thing, than mostly like the information is true!  Today we did that by looking at a site with Ms. Zbacnik and comparing it to a book on Bookflix.  We took notes on a notecard. Ms. Zbacnik reminded us that we don't have to write whole sentences down, but that we can write phrases down to help us remember the important points.  See if your child can tell you what notes we took about Christopher Columbus!

We will be great researches by the end of the year!
