Today We. . .

Today we switched for our special groups for the first time!  Each student in second grade went with a teacher to work on literacy skills.  Today we all did a "getting to know you activity."  See if your child can tell you how the activity worked!

Today we took a little "detour" from the "Mercy Watson" books and started a related book, Leroy Ninker Saddles Up.  See if your child can tell you the two important things Leroy was told to look for in a horse!

 

Today we also talked about the word "difference" in math.  See if your child can tell you what operation (add or subtract) that they need to do when they see that word.  Also, see if your child can show you the picture example we used to help us find the difference between two numbers.

Finally, we were able to get a quick preview of the book fair!  There are lots of great books to check out!
