Kahoot

Today we tried a new quiz format called, "Kahoot." This is how it works: I create a quick on the website.  Students sign in with the number code assigned to the specific quiz on an iPad. Then they sign in with a name.  I had them put in their initials. 

I start the quiz.  The question comes up and the students have any where from 2-4 answers to choose from.  They click on the correct answer/corresponding shape. Once everyone has answered the question it shows a graph of how many people chose which answer.  The correct answer is also shown. Students get "point" for answering it correct.  They also get points for how quickly they answer the question.  

My goal isn't necessarily about how fast they answer the question or who as the most points.  It's a fun and different way to do quizzes and to show what you know!

This morning we did a practice quiz and this afternoon we did a science one on weather instruments.
