Doing Research!

We have been working on our research skills!  In guided reading last week we practiced taking notes from non-fiction books.  Yesterday in library with Ms. Zbacnik we took notes on Thanksgiving for our symbol book.  We used the table of contents and index to look up key words to help us find important information.  Today we finished our note taking.  Then we took our notes and wrote a paragraph that included these main topics:  the history of Thanksgiving, food and Thanksgiving today.  We are learning and practicing important research skills!
