Busy Week!

This week:

• We worked hard in literacy.  We focused on determining the important information in what we read.
• We continued to practice making change by counting up.  We also worked on reading temperature on a thermometer and "change to more" problems.
• We finished our health unit on "How You Think."  We will start our government unit next week!
• We worked on activities that helped us practice grammar - periods, question marks and exclamation marks.
• We read a great book to review and reinforce asking questions.  The book is called, The Stranger by Chris Van Allsburg.  See if your child can tell you about it!
• We finished the second book of "Bink and Gollie" by Kate DiCamillo.
• We worked hard on following directions the first time and listening carefully to the teacher.
