Landmark Books + Monster Project

Today we read another special book. Last week we talked about landmarks. We talked about how landmarks help us know where we are. They are familiar things, places, etc. This year we will have some books that will be "landmark books" for us. They are books that are well written and have good writing, word choice, ideas, etc. that we can come back to.

See if your child can tell you about these two "landmark books!"

Today we also started working on a monster writing project. Students designed their own monster, showing what it looks like, feels like, etc. Next week we will start the writing part and work on describing the monster!
