This week we started working on our "Monster" writing project. We started out by reading a couple of great books to get our imaginations flowing! I Need My Monster has some great inspiration for monsters! The second book was a funny story about how a student felt like his teacher was a "monster." Ask your child what the "turning point" of the story was. It's by the author, Peter Brown. We read another great Peter Brown book today. See if your child can tell you what book we read!
The first step, after some planning and brainstorming, is to create our monster. There are some great ideas out there!
After the pictures are drawn, we will work on writing a main idea paragraph describing our monster.
