Kahoot

Today we tried a new quiz format called, "Kahoot." This is how it works: I create a quiz on the Kahoot website. Students sign in with the number code assigned to the specific quiz on an iPad. Then they sign in with a "nickname". They worked in small groups, so I had them use the first letter of each person's name.

I start the quiz. The question comes up and the students have any where from 2-4 answers to choose from.  hey click on the correct answer/corresponding shape. Once everyone has answered the question it shows a graph of how many people chose which answer. The correct answer is also shown. Students get "points" for answering it correct. They also get points for how quickly they answer the question.

My goal isn't necessarily about how fast they answer the question or who has the most points, but about working together and reviewing information. It's a fun and different way to do quizzes and to show what we know!

Today we did a practice quiz and one on Bus Safety!
