Important Landmarks, Symbols and People Book

Today we continued our research on the American flag. We started using our research notebooks. We will use these books throughout the year to take notes on important landmarks, symbols and people. Ms. Zbacnik will also help us do some research projects!
 

Yesterday we looked at two different books on the flag. Today we looked at another source; PebbleGo. This is a great online non-fiction resource. Your child can access it here http://www.pebblego.com/choose/choose_product.html  The username is brimhall, the password is read.

We started practicing taking notes - not writing in full sentences, but writing enough information down so that the notes make sense. Then we wrote a short paragraph in our Important Landmarks, Symbols and People Book. Everyone did a great job! Ask your child about some of the facts they learned!
