Learning Today!

Welcome back after a three day weekend!

We had a busy and fun day today!
Here are some things that you can ask your child about:

• In literacy our new theme is about voting. See if your child can tell you why we vote on a Tuesday and why we vote in early November.
• We also talked about making connections while we read - text to self, text to text and text to world. 
• We read a book today called, The Big Red Lollipop. It had a great example of choosing either to be right or to be kind. See if your child can tell you about it!
• In math today we did a review. Your child should be bringing home two review sheets. We will have a test tomorrow.
• We also started doing some research on the St. Louis Arch, the next symbol in our Symbol Book.
