This morning we read a great non-fiction book, called Balloons Over Broadway. It is about the story behind the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade balloons. Here is a link if you want to hear it read online.
Next students came up with a favorite book character. They drew a picture of their character/ballon. Then they wrote a persuasive letter to Macy's telling them why their balloon should be added to the parade. Everyone did a great job!
